Improvised Soundtrack for a Silence Movie
A multidisciplinary team of artists composed a new
modern soundtrack for Bloeiende Bloemen en Plantenbewegingen, a scientific short film made by a Dutch filmmaker Jan Cornelis Mol in 1932 documentary on blooming flowers. The performance
aimed to promoting awareness around the topic of woman consent.
My Role
- Research on the flowers featured in the video,
exploring their symbolic meaning across different
cultures. - Connected meanings to sound textures.
- Singer and performer of improvised melody
emulating the flowers’ movements.
